The biggest German networking event in Asia-Pacific
The Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) is the leading biennial conference of German business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since 1986, the APK has brought together high-level political and business leaders from Germany and across the Asia-Pacific region to foster dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and promote economic cooperation. Jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), the 19th edition will take place from October 29 to 31 in Seoul, South Korea, with a program covering key topics such as geopolitics, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.

A changing global landscape made this APK a key moment for redefining international cooperation.
Held from 24–26 October 2024 in New Delhi, the conference gathered around 800 senior representatives from business and government. Discussions addressed geopolitical developments, economic collaboration, and India’s expanding role in global markets.
The APK 2024 emphasized India’s strategic importance for Germany in building more diversified and future-oriented partnerships.
APK 2022: Singapore
Reconnecting economies after a global disruption.
Following years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the APK returned as a platform to reshape economic cooperation.
Taking place on 13–14 November 2022 in Singapore, the 17th APK gathered over 600 participants. The conference focused on supply chain vulnerabilities, digital transformation, and sustainable economic models in a changing global environment.
The APK 2022 marked the shift from efficiency-focused globalization to resilience, risk management, and diversification.
APK 2018: Jakarta
Economic growth in a fragmented political landscape.
A growing gap between economic growth and political instability shaped the global debate.
Held from 1–3 November 2018 in Jakarta, the 16th APK placed Indonesia and the ASEAN region at the center of German business. Discussions focused on trade conflicts, China’s Belt and Road Initiative, infrastructure strategies, and the rapid impact of digitalization on industry.
The APK 2018 highlighted the need to defend open markets and strengthen cooperation among like-minded economies.
